Back on January 2nd, SharpCrye Publishing announced March 12 as the date that our latest venture would be unveiled to the public. That announcement was not just made to generate early interest – thank you again to all of you who joined our mailing list – it was also to keep us honest. The date is the date and the date is upon us.
You see, Mister Sharp and I are, like many of you I am sure, perfectionists when it comes to our crafts. “The Elect Stories” is a very personal work for both of us, so the temptation to continue crafting away out of the public eye is strong. One of the teachings of the Elsebrin, a monastic order that figures prominently in “The Elect Stories,” is the practice of a craft is a meditation on creation itself. It is the practice that is important, not the object that the craft creates.
In yet other words: put it out there, already!
